Cheer & Dance Team Tryout Information 

Parent meeting Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Arena
Parent or guradian must attend in order for the student to tryout

FREE physicals will be at GJHS March 6 (more info to come)

Tryout week will be March 8-12 from 4:15 - 6:30 p.m.

  • April 6 - 8         SAT-10 Test
  • April 13 - 15     8th Grade Benchmark
  • April 22 - 23     EOC Algebra I
  • April 27 - 28     EOC Biology
  • May 5                EOC Algebra II
It is very important that your child is in school on the testing days! 

George Students Visit Washington DC

GJHS students, along with students from Kansas, Oklahoma and New York were given a tour of the nation's Capitol by Arkansas Representative John Boozman. The students were in Washington, DC as part of their Williamsburg Trip. Students from GJHS included: Gabby Billingsley, Rebecca Estep, Mary Childress, Callie Harris, Audrey Hatfield, Makayla Mason, Hunter Maxwell and Luis Valverde.  
Parents of Students Enrolled in Algebra I
Beginning with this school year, all students in grade nine (9) and below who are enrolled in Algebra I must take and pass a high-stakes end-of-course assessment in order to receive academic credit. This assessment will be given April 22 & 23.
